Recently, the list of winners of the 6th Construction BIM Competition of China Construction Industry Association was announced, the tech participated in the competition - “Digitization construction assisted by BIM technology in the implementation of the 1st Class Highway Project - Phase II G347 AnJiu on PPP basis” submitted by the Design Institute of ACEG Road & Bridge Co., Ltd., stood out from 995 candidates and won the fifth place in the single item competition, which marks the first ever for ACEG winning the top class achievement in national BIM competition.

This competition, organized by China Construction Industry Association, is the most recognized national BIM competition in China at present, aiming to vigorously promote the application of BIM technology and cultivate high-level BIM technical talents. Contents of the competition involved many fields such as housing construction, road and bridge construction, water conservancy and manufacture industry, etc., and finally 96 submittals (72 comprehensive items and 24 single items) won as the achievements of the first-class category.
“Digitization construction assisted by BIM technology in the implementation of the 1st Class Highway Project - Phase II G347 AnJiu on PPP basis” has adhered to the concept of digital innovation, collaborative work and information integration, together with the latest achievements of ACEG’s BIM technology, to explore the techs on 3D printing, GIS, visual programming and ACEG’s family databases and intelligent worksite management platform and actively made achievements in innovation through in-depth researches on cutting-edge technology and deepening information management and other means to explore the digitization-oriented project managements.
The research, application and development of BIM in China have become a mega hit and cutting-edge technology in the construction industry.
